Round 17 *k25, k2tog repeat from *around in MC once (104 sts)
Rounds 18-22 k buckle peerie * (5 rounds)
*Note that colours will be reversed in the buckle peerie with the MC forming the pattern and the CC forming the background.

Switch to dpns dividing sts evenly over 3 needles
Round 44 k1 round plain
Round 45 (k1, k2tog) around
Round 46 k2tog around
Pull yarn through stitches and cinch closed
weave in ends.
Finishing
Add braid or fringe to ear flaps. Add blanket stitch if desired.
In the process of making this hat. I think it is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteJust a question-- is it intentionally a little off-center? there are 40 stitches between the two ear flaps on one side and 20 on the other side... so which is the front???
Thanks!
